The Finger Mullet Flash Twitch Bait is a slow sinking lipless hard bait with excellent balance . Designed to be fished in shallow water. Sinking lures can be fished slowly, like an injured fish that’s easy to catch. Predators have a strong preference for fish that are easy to catch. Sinking lures work the bast in windy and rough water conditions. Sinking lures are versatile; they can be used at the top of the water column as well as the bottom.
When a fish dies, it sinks to the bottom. When a fish is struggling to stay alive, it struggles to stay afloat, but keeps sinking. With a sinking lure, you can cast it out, begin reeling it near the top, then cut the action and let it fall. Then you start reeling again as if struggling to stay alive. Most times fish will swoop in on as it falls. Fish find this presentation irresistible!
All slow-sinking and suspending baits fall into the ‘twitch-bait’ category. These baits are meant to be ‘twitched’. This is accomplished by using a series of sharp twitches of the rod tip. When fishing for finicky or lethargic fish, it is usually helpful to follow each twitch with a pause. The more lethargic the fish, the longer the pause should be. Most of these baits are ‘lifeless’ when not being actively retrieved, it can take some time to learn how to make them move properly.
