For more than 40years Toby Hogan has been a pioneer of soft plastic lures in Texas. In 1980 Hogan began producing hard plastic and soft plastic lures long before you could find them on a peg at your local tackle shop or outdoor emporium. These lures would set the groundwork for every soft plastic thereafter.
Hogan originated the Hogie Lure Company in El Campo, Texas in the early days selling lures up and down the Gulf Coast helping saltwater & freshwater fishermen excel in their endeavors.
Today Toby Hogan Lures sets anchor in Palacios, Tx where he and his wife Maria own New Frontier Gallery full of handmade carvings, artwork, collectibles, gift items, a fishing history exhibit and more. Hogan's passion is to continue creating new products to elevate your fishing experience and produces one of a kind artificial lures, jigs, and spinners each poured & painted by hand that are consistently proven on the water.
Toby Hogan Fishing Lures can only be found here. The highly sought after designs are patented and Hogan is dedicated to his continually perfecting his craft.
Not all fishing lures are created equal. There's a huge market for lures in Texas with companies churning out every shape color and size imaginable. Every one of them started with the need for a bigger fish or a better catch....
For more than four decades, Toby Hogan has combined the precision of handcrafted craftsmanship with thousands of hours spent on the water, learning exactly what it takes to snag trophy fish. Trial and error, research and development, and finding what exactly triggers the instinctive strike from some of the Gulf Coast's has been the mission.
Every lure is shaped by experience, refined through countless casts, and built with a relentless commitment to quality and performance.
When skill meets expertise and time-tested knowledge, the result isn't just another lure—it's a Toby Hogan Fishing Lure designed to inspire confidence every time you tie one on.
Stinky Sticks™ Lure Enhancer isn't just another fish attractant—it's the secret weapon your tackle box has been missing.
Toby Hogan's handmade small batch Stinky Sticks is decades of experience, testing, and patience rolled into the most powerful attractant to hit the water! Packed with a powerful garlic-scented formula, this easy-to-apply paste creates an irresistible scent trail that triggers fish to investigate, strike, and hold on longer.
Time and time again, Stinky Sticks has been tested on the water and proven where it matters most—in front of hungry fish. Whether the bite is slow or you're looking to stack the odds in your favor, simply coat your favorite lure and Unleash the Bite. It may smell terrible to you... but to fish, it's absolutely irresistible.
Predatory fish like speckled trout, redfish, bass, and flounder rely heavily on their sense of smell and taste to locate prey, especially in stained water, low-light conditions, or when a bait is moving naturally with the current. Unlike humans, fish have highly sensitive olfactory organs that can detect scent molecules in the water from surprising distances, and many species actually "taste" a lure the moment they mouth it.
That's where Stinky Sticks™ Lure Enhancer gives you the edge. Its proven garlic-scented formula leaves behind a powerful scent trail that draws fish in, encourages them to commit to the strike, and often keeps them holding onto your lure just long enough for you to drive the hook home.
When every cast counts, don't just throw a lure—Unleash the Bite with Stinky Sticks.
